    Sharan Pasricha

Sharan Pasricha is a British-Indian entrepreneur who has changed the way modern hotels operate. As the founder and president of Ennismore, he has built a global hospitality business based on design, culture, food and community.

His work includes The Hoxton, Gleneagles, Working From_, Maison Estelle, Estelle Manor and Celeste. He is also the founder and chief executive of Estelle Community, a private lifestyle group focused on luxury, privacy and personal service.

    Who Is Sharan Pasricha?

Sharan Pasricha was born in India in October 1980 and is now based in London. He holds British nationality and has built his career across marketing, manufacturing, private equity, hotels and luxury hospitality. His business style combines creative ideas with close attention to detail. Instead of treating hotels as places where guests only sleep, Pasricha developed spaces where people can eat, work, meet friends and become part of a local community.

His companies focus on atmosphere and experience. This approach helped him turn small or underperforming properties into well-known destinations with strong identities.

Sharan Pasricha’s Early Life and Family

Sharan Pasricha grew up in Mumbai. His father ran a manufacturing advisory business, while his mother looked after the family. His mother was born in the United Kingdom and had an Indian mother and Welsh father.

Pasricha has spoken about the difficult loss of his older sister, who died from leukaemia when he was ten. His parents spent years taking her abroad for medical treatment, while he stayed with grandparents and family friends.

This experience made him independent at a young age. He also has a younger brother and has described his childhood as an important influence on his attitude towards responsibility and work.

    Education

Sharan Pasricha attended The Doon School in India before continuing his education in England. He later studied at Regent’s College, where he developed an interest in business, marketing and finance.

From 2009 to 2011, he completed an MBA at London Business School with a focus on entrepreneurship. He later received the school’s Alumni GOLD award, which recognises graduates who make an important impact in their chosen field.

During his time at London Business School, Pasricha also took part in the Entrepreneurship Club. His education helped him develop the financial and management skills that later supported his growth in hospitality.

    Sharan Pasricha’s First Business Ventures

Pasricha began his professional life outside the hotel industry. While studying in London, he co-founded RUSH! Media, a marketing company aimed at the student market. The business worked with brands that wanted to reach university students. After building the company for several years, Pasricha sold the business and returned to India to help run his uncle’s leather manufacturing factory in Delhi.

The factory was losing money and had a limited product range. Pasricha entered the business without factory experience, but he improved its operations, expanded its products and secured international customers, including Zara and Topshop.

The turnaround taught him about staff management, supply chains, cash flow and business discipline. He later described this period as one of the hardest but most valuable stages of his career. After returning to London, Pasricha worked at Better Capital, a private equity firm led by Jon Moulton. His work there increased his interest in property, business restructuring and the hotel sector.

    The Creation of Ennismore

Pasricha founded Ennismore in 2011. The company was created to build and operate hospitality businesses with strong design and a clear sense of identity.

His first major hotel project was The Hoxton in Shoreditch, London. At the time, the hotel was struggling to maintain its early success. Pasricha saw an opportunity to give it a new direction.

    The Hoxton

Sharan Pasricha helped transform The Hoxton into an open-house hotel. Its public areas became lively meeting places for local people, workers, visitors and guests. The concept moved away from the traditional hotel model, where the lobby is only used for check-in. The Hoxton offered restaurants, bars, flexible workspaces and social areas that felt connected to the neighbourhood.

The brand later expanded to cities across Europe and the United States. The Hoxton became one of the strongest names in lifestyle hospitality and played a major role in Ennismore’s growth.

    Gleneagles

In 2015, Sharan Pasricha led the purchase of Gleneagles in Perthshire from Diageo. The famous Scottish resort had a long history, but it needed investment and a fresh approach. The acquisition was valued at approximately £150 million, followed by a major refurbishment programme. Pasricha and his team updated the hotel while protecting its heritage and reputation.

The changes included new restaurants, bars, bedrooms, leisure facilities and guest experiences. The company later opened Gleneagles Townhouse in Edinburgh, combining a hotel, restaurants and a private members’ club.

Sharan Pasricha’s work at Gleneagles showed that traditional luxury could be modernised without losing its character. The resort became more welcoming to families, younger visitors and guests who were not interested in golf.

    Ennismore’s Partnership with Accor

In 2021, Ennismore entered a joint venture with Accor, one of the world’s largest hotel groups. The agreement brought together Ennismore’s creative approach and Accor’s global scale, distribution network and development experience.

At the start of the partnership, Accor held 66.67% of the new company and Pasricha held 33.33%. In 2022, a transaction involving a Qatari investment group valued Ennismore at more than €2 billion. The partnership brought many lifestyle brands into one group. These included 25hours, Hyde, Mama Shelter, Mondrian, SLS, Our Habitas, Rixos, Rikas and Paris Society.

Ennismore now has more than 180 hotels across more than 40 countries, with further properties in development. The group also manages more than 500 restaurants and bars. Pasricha served as founder and co-chief executive during the company’s major expansion period. In January 2026, he became founder and president, while Gaurav Bhushan took the role of group chief executive.

    Estelle Community and Luxury Hospitality

Alongside Ennismore, Pasricha created Estelle Community. The group focuses on private membership, calm surroundings, personal service and what it calls quiet luxury. Its main properties include Maison Estelle in Mayfair, Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire and Celeste in Notting Hill. These venues combine private clubs, hotels, restaurants, art, wellness and social spaces.

Estelle Manor opened in 2023 after the restoration of the former Eynsham Hall estate. The property includes hotel rooms, restaurants, countryside activities, a private club, a gym and a Roman-inspired bathing complex. Pasricha worked closely with his wife, Eiesha Bharti Pasricha, on the development of the Estelle brand. Eiesha contributed to the interiors, art, styling, uniforms, events and overall guest experience.

Sharan Pasricha’s Wife and Married Life

Sharan Pasricha is married to Eiesha Bharti Pasricha, a lifestyle investor and creative entrepreneur. They met at a New Year’s Eve gathering in Goa before moving to London together. Their wedding took place in Delhi and was described in the press as a large, multi-day Indian celebration. Their marriage began before Pasricha entered the hotel industry and before he acquired The Hoxton.

Eiesha has spoken warmly about their professional journey. She has explained that hospitality was not originally part of their plans, but she became involved after seeing Pasricha’s vision for The Hoxton and Gleneagles.

The couple have two children and divide their time between London and their hospitality properties. Eiesha remains closely involved in the Estelle brands as a creative leader. Her father is Sunil Bharti Mittal, the founder of Bharti Enterprises and one of India’s richest business figures. Bharti-backed funding supported the early purchase of The Hoxton, although Pasricha built and managed the business himself.

    Sharan Pasricha’s Net Worth

Sharan Pasricha’s exact current net worth has not been officially confirmed. The strongest published estimates come from British wealth rankings and business journalism. His estimated wealth was placed at approximately £135 million in 2017 and £136 million in 2018. The figure rose to about £298 million in 2019, while the London Evening Standard cited £289 million in early 2020.

The 2020 Sunday Times wealth ranking placed his estimated wealth at £321 million. This remains the strongest major published figure available, but it is not a current valuation for 2026. Some websites now claim that Pasricha is worth £1.33 billion. That figure refers to estimated business net worth linked to company assets, not a confirmed personal fortune.

Ennismore’s valuation above €2 billion also belongs to the company. It cannot be used as Pasricha’s personal net worth because the business has other shareholders, debts, operating costs and complex ownership arrangements.

A careful conclusion is that Pasricha was valued at approximately £289 million to £321 million in published estimates from 2019 and 2020. His current wealth may be higher, but no reliable source confirms a precise figure.

    Directorships and Business Interests

Companies House records show that Sharan Pasricha has held 57 directorship appointments. His business interests include hotels, restaurants, property companies, investment firms and holding companies. He has served as a director of Gleneagles Hotels Limited, Gleneagles Resort Developments Limited, GH Easterton Farm Limited and other companies linked to his hospitality activities.

He resigned as a director of Ennismore Holdings in June 2026. This corporate change does not mean that he left Ennismore, because he continues to hold the position of founder and president. His work with Estelle Community also remains an important part of his business career. Companies House records show that he holds a controlling shareholding in Esra Holdings Limited, alongside Eiesha Bharti Pasricha.

    Sharan Pasricha Awards and Recognition

Sharan Pasricha has received wide recognition for his contribution to hospitality. He was awarded an MBE in the 2022 Birthday Honours for services to the hotel industry. He also received the Cateys 2024 International Outstanding Achievement Award. London Business School honoured him with its Accomplished Entrepreneur Award in 2023.

His other recognition includes the Alumni GOLD award, inclusion among influential figures in British luxury and recognition from Condé Nast Traveller for changing the way people experience travel.

    Conclusion

Sharan Pasricha built his reputation by combining business discipline with creativity. From a student marketing company and a struggling leather factory to The Hoxton, Gleneagles and Ennismore, his career shows a clear ability to improve businesses and create strong brands.

Today, he leads Ennismore as founder and president while developing Estelle Community with his wife, Eiesha. His exact net worth remains private, but his influence on global lifestyle hospitality is firmly established.
