Amy Burrows: The Dynamic Presenter Building a Brighter Stage for Young British Talent

    Amy Burrows

Amy Burrows has built a career across live television, property, technology, lifestyle broadcasting and corporate events. Her warmth on camera, sharp memory and calm delivery help her explain detailed subjects clearly. These strengths have taken her from British studios to global assignments.

Beyond broadcasting, she founded Take the Stage UK, which gives young people opportunities to perform in prestigious theatres. Her journey combines creative skill, discipline, leadership and commitment to building confidence in others. Across QVC, technology presentations and theatrical productions, she has created a career with range and purpose.

Amy Burrows’ Early Life and Education

Her full name is Amy Louise Burrows. She was born in April 1991 and is 35 years old in 2026. British by nationality, she grew up in the Southend-on-Sea area of Essex and has ties to Leigh-on-Sea. The region has remained central to her personal life, professional work and performing arts business.

Amy Burrows attended Southend High School for Girls from 2002 to 2009. Her academic record was exceptional. She achieved eight A-star grades and four A grades across 12 GCSE subjects. At A-level, she earned A grades in Biology, Business and Economics, Geography and General Studies. This blend of science, commerce and communication gave her a base for the career that followed.

    Training at Performers College

Amy Burrows showed interest in performance from childhood and began taking opportunities on stage at a young age. After completing school, she entered Performers College in 2010. She graduated in 2013 with a National Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre.

Training in acting, dance, singing and stagecraft strengthened her discipline for auditions, rehearsals and productions. It taught her to engage an audience and remain composed under pressure, skills that became vital in live television.

Amy Burrows and the Start of Her Television Career

Amy Burrows began working as a freelance television presenter in June 2014. Her early career included television, commercials, online productions and corporate films. She soon proved that she could move confidently between scripted and unscripted formats while keeping her delivery natural.

Amy Burrows has completed more than 3,000 hours of live television and autocue work. That experience demands accuracy, timing and instant responses when a running order changes. She is comfortable in multi-camera studios, using open talkback and working on location.

Her style is warm, bright and relatable. She absorbs complex details quickly and communicates them naturally, making her valuable to brands in technology, property, finance, food, fashion, travel and motoring.

    Early Broadcasting Roles

At Sewing Quarter, she presented from January 2017 to February 2018, introducing products, interviewing guests and guiding demonstrations. The role strengthened her confidence in long live segments and product-led broadcasting.

In 2018, Amy Burrows became Everything5Pounds.com’s weekly lead presenter on Facebook Live. She hosted a one-hour programme for a page with 1.4 million followers, combining new arrivals and bestsellers with quizzes and games. The format demanded sales knowledge, energy and sustained audience engagement.

International work arrived early. She presented for PlayStation in Paris in January 2016, then completed IBM assignments in Cannes in July 2017 and Lisbon in June 2019. Each project required confident delivery of technical material to varied audiences.

Amy Burrows as a QVC Lifestyle Expert

Her association with QVC UK has become one of the most recognisable parts of her career. By 2026, she described having spent nine years with the channel. As a resident homestyle and lifestyle expert, she presents products while sharing styling advice, home ideas and practical solutions.

QVC demands more than autocue reading. Presenters must know their products, respond to colleagues and fill time smoothly as circumstances change. Burrows handles extended unscripted sections while keeping the conversation relaxed, as shown by a ten-minute 2026 segment about bamboo and bedding.

Her interest in homes gives these broadcasts a natural foundation. She has worked extensively in the property sector and with national developers across Britain. Her knowledge of interiors, homeware and everyday living helps her translate product details into ideas that viewers can use in their own spaces.

    Live Television with Personality

Amy Burrows treats studio mistakes and memorable QVC bloopers with humour. When plans change, her timing, warmth and quick reactions keep the broadcast moving. This blend of professionalism and personality defines her screen presence.

    Global Brands and International Presenting

Amy Burrows has worked with an extensive group of international businesses. Her commercial and corporate clients include Mercedes, Lloyds Bank, British Gas, Itsu, Currys PC World, Eurotunnel, Playmobil, Santander, Zipcar, Kia Motors, Homebase, Cadbury, Marks & Spencer, Bosch and Tesco.

Technology is a major area of expertise. Assignments have included PlayStation, Sony, IBM, Intel, Google, Nominet, Vodafone and iRobot. She absorbs unfamiliar terminology, specifications and detailed scripts rapidly, then explains them with clarity and confidence.

    Property, Motoring and Event Work

From 2020 to 2022, she presented for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. Grand Prix events, garage access and work at the Mercedes factory gave her direct experience of motorsport and automotive technology. She also attended Formula E testing in Valencia.

    International Event Credits

Further credits include Sky, Bosch at the Ideal Home Show, YuMOVE at Crufts, Tweezerman, Dassault Systèmes, ITMA in Milan and a Valeo centenary broadcast in Paris. She presented Ryobi and Vax campaigns, led an RAC road-safety chat show and worked for Network Rail in 2025. In 2026, she filmed nail content for Bio Sculpture UK and a campaign in Teddington.

    Acting, Theatre and Commercial Performance

Her theatre background remains central to her creative identity. She performed in national tours and pantomimes as Snow White, Belle and Cinderella, using acting, singing, movement and direct engagement with family audiences.

Screen credits include Sanditon, Mother Krampus and Mandy the Doll. In 2023, she played a British news journalist in a major Bollywood production. She has appeared in more than 40 advertisements, including work linked to Lidl, Homebase, Playmobil, PlayStation and Cadbury.

Commercial filming requires consistent movement, expression and timing across repeated takes. Her stage discipline and presenting experience meet those demands while retaining warmth on camera. She is also a voiceover artist suited to commercials, training films, technical explainers and corporate narration.

Amy Burrows and Take the Stage UK

In 2016, Amy Burrows founded Take the Stage UK after recognising that many local dance and performing arts schools could not easily access major professional venues. Theatre hire, technical production and organisation created barriers for teachers and families. Her venture was designed to handle that work while allowing schools to focus on preparing their performers.

The first showcase brought together 300 young performers. The project continued to grow, with productions involving hundreds of children and young people from schools across the South East. Events have taken place at respected venues such as the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend and Wycombe Swan in High Wycombe.

The experience goes beyond a single performance. Young participants learn discipline, teamwork, confidence and stage awareness. They rehearse for a large venue, work with professional lighting and sound, and share a production with performers from other schools. Burrows has said that theatre can turn nervous energy into confidence, a belief shaped by her own childhood experiences.

    Business Growth and Active Directorships

The business now has a clear regional structure. She became a director of Take the Stage Ltd on 1 July 2017. On 30 September 2023, she was appointed director of both Take the Stage Essex Ltd and Take the Stage Buckinghamshire Ltd. All three companies remain active.

These appointments reflect the expansion of the original Essex venture into a wider operation. The Buckinghamshire programme brought Take the Stage to another region, while the Essex company strengthened its established base. Future events include productions at Wycombe Swan and the Cliffs Pavilion, with dates already prepared into 2027.

Her role combines creative leadership with practical management. She coordinates schools, venues, safeguarding needs, technical teams, performance schedules and large casts. This work demonstrates that her abilities extend beyond appearing on camera. She can build an idea, create a dependable organisation and guide it through sustained growth.

Amy Burrows’ Partner and Family Life

Amy Burrows is engaged to her long-term partner, Matthew Stanley. She announced their engagement in July 2023. Stanley is based in Leigh-on-Sea and works as a Business Development Manager at Peninsula UK. His professional field covers HR, employment law and workplace health and safety for small and medium-sized businesses.

The couple welcomed their son, Hugo George Stanley, on 13 June 2024. In April 2025, she celebrated her first birthday as a mother and described life with Matt and their child as their little family. A later post in April 2026 referred warmly to the three of them, showing the importance of family within her life.

No marriage has been confirmed, so Matthew is best described as her fiancé or partner rather than her husband. She keeps many personal details separate from her professional work, although selected family moments form part of her social media presence.

Social Media and Connection with Audiences

On Instagram, Amy Burrows uses the name @amyburrowstv and has built an audience of more than 2,600 followers. Her content combines television clips, location shoots, event hosting, Take the Stage updates and family moments. She also shares the reality of live broadcasting, including humorous mistakes that show the unpredictable side of television.

This approach supports the qualities visible in her professional work. Her posts are polished without feeling distant. They show preparation, enthusiasm and gratitude while giving followers a view of the work behind a finished broadcast or production.

Why Amy Burrows Has Built a Distinctive Career

Few presenters move so easily between homeware, technology, property, finance, food and Formula One. Her versatility comes from preparation rather than surface confidence alone. She learns detailed material, understands the audience and adapts her tone to suit each project.

Her career also carries a strong entrepreneurial element. Take the Stage UK turns her own experience as a young performer into opportunities for a new generation. The company’s growth proves that creative work and business discipline can support each other.

Amy Burrows has therefore built more than a television career. She is a presenter, actress, producer, voiceover artist and company director whose work connects communication with opportunity. Her future is supported by deep live-broadcast experience, trusted commercial relationships and a performing arts venture with a clear social purpose.

    Conclusion

From academic success in Essex to international presenting assignments, her progress reflects talent strengthened by discipline. She has earned trust in demanding live environments, represented major brands and created theatre experiences for thousands of young performers.

Her work on QVC shows her ability to communicate naturally under pressure, while Take the Stage UK demonstrates vision beyond the studio. With active companies in Essex and Buckinghamshire, an expanding portfolio of media work and a young family, Amy Burrows continues to shape a career defined by versatility, leadership and genuine connection.
