    Rachel Stringer

Rachel Stringer is a British television presenter, sports broadcaster, producer and media consultant. She is known for her work across tennis, motorsport, football, athletics, esports and major international sporting events. Her career combines sporting experience with strong broadcasting skills. Before becoming a familiar face on television, she competed internationally as a junior 800-metre runner for Great Britain and England.

Today, she works with leading sports networks and production companies. Her calm style, knowledge of sport and confident presenting have helped her build a respected career in British television.

Rachel Stringer’s Early Life in Norfolk

Rachel Stringer was born on 28 February 1990 and grew up in North Norfolk, England. Her family encouraged her interest in sport from an early age, and she began running competitively when she was 12. She joined the City of Norwich Athletics Club and quickly developed into a talented middle-distance runner. Her ability, discipline and strong work ethic helped her compete at county, national and international level.

Rachel also grew up with a strong interest in motorsport. Her mother was a keen speedway supporter, and the family regularly attended racing events. These early experiences later helped Rachel move comfortably into motorsport broadcasting. Her childhood was shaped by sport, family support and education. These influences gave her the confidence to compete at a high level and later communicate with audiences through television.

    Rachel Stringer’s School Education

Rachel Stringer attended Reepham High School from 2001 to 2006. During her time there, she achieved ten GCSEs with grades ranging from A* to B. She then studied at Fakenham College between 2006 and 2008. Her A-level subjects included Media Studies, Psychology and Sports Science, and she achieved three A grades.

Fakenham College also recognised her sporting ability. She represented England and Great Britain as an international 800-metre athlete while completing her studies. Rachel also qualified as a lifeguard. This reflected her interest in health, fitness, safety and physical activity, all of which became important parts of her later life.

    A Strong Academic Foundation

In 2008, Rachel began studying Sports Science with Management at Loughborough University. She graduated in 2011 with a 2:1 degree. Loughborough is well known for its sporting culture, and Rachel became an active member of the university athletics club. She also served as Social Secretary and joined the university’s media department.

Her university experience brought together three important interests: sport, management and media. This combination later helped her understand both the athletic and production sides of television. She was not only focused on competition. Rachel began to recognise that her future could include sports media, live presenting and television production.

    Rachel Stringer’s Athletics Career

Rachel Stringer achieved major success as a junior athlete. She represented England and Great Britain in the 800 metres and competed at important youth events. One of her proudest achievements came at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in India. She won a silver medal in the 800 metres, finishing behind Caster Semenya, who later became a world champion. Rachel also competed at the European Youth Olympics. Her performances placed her among Britain’s promising young middle-distance athletes.

As a teenager, she recorded a 1500-metre best of approximately four minutes and thirty seconds. She also achieved strong times in the 800 metres and 400 metres. Her early athletics career demanded regular training, travel and competition. It taught her how to prepare carefully, handle pressure and remain focused when results did not come easily.

Rachel Stringer Injury, Illness and a Change of Direction

Rachel Stringer’s athletics ambitions were affected by injury and illness during her university years. She had hoped to continue progressing as an elite athlete, but her plans changed. Rather than leaving sport behind, she found a new way to remain connected with it. Broadcasting allowed her to use her sporting knowledge while developing a different professional identity.

Running still plays an important role in Rachel’s life. She later moved towards marathon running and completed a marathon in under three hours. Her relationship with running also became more relaxed. Instead of training only for medals, she began running for fitness, mental wellbeing, enjoyment and personal challenges.

    Rachel Stringer’s Move into Television

Rachel’s first experience in broadcasting came behind the scenes. She worked as a television runner during coverage of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. This early role helped her understand how television programmes are planned, produced and delivered. She learned how presenters, producers, camera teams and researchers work together under pressure. She later worked with Sunset+Vine and gained experience in sports production. Her skills eventually led to opportunities with BT Sport.

In 2013, Rachel joined BT Sport as a researcher. She worked across different programmes and sports, including football, basketball and women’s sport. Her knowledge and enthusiasm soon helped her move from research into presenting. She became involved in programmes such as SportsHub, Women’s Super League football, NBA coverage and transfer deadline-day broadcasting.

    Building Confidence as a Presenter

Rachel’s transition from researcher to presenter was an important stage in her career. She understood how programmes were created, which made her more effective in front of the camera. She developed a warm and energetic style that suited both live events and recorded television. Her sporting background also helped her ask informed questions during interviews.

She went on to work with the BBC, presenting and reporting on football and other sports. Her work included Football Focus and children’s programming connected with football. Rachel also presented Nick Kicks alongside Roman Kemp. She became known to younger audiences through her clear communication and lively on-screen personality. Her work was not restricted to one sport. She continued to develop across football, athletics, motorsport, esports and entertainment television.

Rachel Stringer’s Work in Sports Broadcasting

Rachel Stringer has covered some of the world’s best-known sporting events. Her presenting work has included Wimbledon, the Australian Open, Roland-Garros and other major tennis tournaments. She has worked with TNT Sports and Eurosport as a tennis presenter. Her responsibilities include introducing matches, speaking with experts and helping viewers understand the wider story behind the competition.

Her motorsport work has also become a major part of her career. She has served as a pit-lane reporter for British Superbikes and worked on World Superbikes coverage. Motorsport requires quick thinking because interviews often take place in noisy and fast-moving environments. Rachel’s early connection with racing has helped her understand the atmosphere of the paddock. She has also reported on athletics for World Athletics. Her personal experience as an international runner gives her a valuable understanding of training, competition and athlete pressure.

    Football, Esports and Live Events

Rachel Stringer has worked with the Football Association and presented live matchday experiences at Wembley Stadium. These events can involve large audiences and require confident delivery. She has also hosted programmes for FIFA and EA Sports. Her work has included the FIFA Global Series, eChampions League content and other international esports productions.

In 2020, Rachel hosted eSoccer Aid for UNICEF and EA Sports. The event included famous names such as Usain Bolt and Robbie Williams. She later presented the V10 R League for Gfinity and worked on the European eTour. These roles showed her ability to move between traditional sport, gaming and digital entertainment. Rachel has also hosted podcasts and sports discussions. Her presenting work demonstrates that she can handle live television, digital content, studio shows and large public events.

Rachel Stringer as a Producer and Media Consultant

Rachel is more than a television presenter. She also works as a producer and media consultant. Her production experience allows her to advise on sports and esports programmes. She understands the importance of planning, storytelling, timing, audience engagement and professional presentation. As a consultant, she can support broadcasters, production teams and sporting organisations. Her advice is shaped by real experience in front of the camera and behind it.

This combination gives Rachel a wider understanding of the media industry. She knows what presenters need, how producers work and how sporting stories can connect with viewers. Her background also makes her suitable for live events, brand partnerships, corporate hosting and digital campaigns.

Rachel Stringer and Blue House Honey

Outside broadcasting, Rachel is involved in beekeeping through Blue House Honey. Her Instagram biography describes her as a beekeeper and links to the Blue House Honey account. She has shared content connected with beekeeping, honey harvesting and the use of a Flow Hive. This provides a different view of her life away from television studios and sporting venues.

Companies House records show that Blue House Honey Ltd became active in 2026, with Rachel Stringer recorded as a director. She is also connected with Rachel E Stringer Limited, a company involved in television programme production. The company was incorporated in June 2015.

Rachel Emma Stringer has also been connected with R9 Media Limited and Roo Adventures Ltd. R9 Media is dissolved, while Roo Adventures remains active. These records support the connection between her full name, media work, outdoor interests and business activities.

    Rachel Stringer’s Husband and Daughter

Rachel Stringer married in 2024. In September of that year, she shared photographs from her wedding, describing the weekend as a special occasion. The wedding included a church ceremony, flowers, catering, a marquee, live music and professional photography. Comments from friends and colleagues congratulated Rachel and her husband.

A wedding film associated with the celebration used the title “Todd & Rachel”. This identifies her husband by the first name Todd. Rachel has chosen not to share his surname, occupation or wider personal details. She keeps her family life separate from most of her professional work.

In April 2026, Rachel Stringer announced the birth of a baby girl. Her message welcomed the child into the world and referred to March as a special month. She later mentioned “my baby” while discussing her return to work. The child’s name has not been shared publicly.

Rachel Stringer’s Family and Charity Work

Rachel’s family has also influenced her charitable work. Her brother Andrew sadly died in 2006 at the age of 13 after suffering from a brain tumour. In memory of Andrew, the family became involved with The Brain Tumour Charity. The Andrew Stringer Fund supports awareness and research connected with childhood brain tumours. Rachel has used her social media presence to support campaigns linked to the charity. Her work highlights the personal reason behind her interest in brain tumour awareness.

    Rachel Stringer’s Continuing Success

Rachel Stringer has built her career through talent, preparation and a deep understanding of sport. Her journey from junior athlete to television presenter is unusual and inspiring. Her athletics background gives her credibility, while her production experience helps her understand the demands of live broadcasting. She continues to work across tennis, motorsport, football, athletics and esports. She also balances television with business interests, beekeeping, marathon running and family life.

Rachel’s career demonstrates how skills gained in sport can support success in media. Discipline, confidence, teamwork and preparation have remained central to her progress. From international athletics to global sports television, Rachel Stringer has created a professional identity that combines performance, knowledge and strong communication.
