Sara Damergi: Age, Husband, Children, TV Career and Lebanese Family Legacy

    Sara Damergi

Sara Damergi has built a career across television, property, travel, business and technology. Best known for Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun, she has spent more than a decade presenting overseas property while developing business interests of her own. Born in London to an English mother and Lebanese father, she also has deep ties to Lebanon, where her family continues a major property project begun by her late father.

    Who Is Sara Damergi?

Sara Damergi is a British-Lebanese television presenter, property expert, entrepreneur and property developer. She is closely associated with Channel 4 through A Place in the Sun and Coast vs Country. She has also worked with the BBC and presented material linked to travel, lifestyle and practical consumer topics. Her work also includes business, property technology and a major family development in Lebanon.

Sara Damergi Age and Early Life

Sara Damergi was born on 21 December 1978 in London and is 47 years old as of August 2026. Her Companies House record confirms December 1978 as her birth month and year. She was born in Paddington and moved to Beirut when she was very young.

Her father was Lebanese and her mother was English. Political violence later led the family back to Britain. After her parents separated, Sara spent parts of her childhood between London and Kent. She attended school in Kent and later completed her A-level studies at a grammar school. Before television became her main career, she travelled, spent time in Ibiza and Cyprus and gained experience in media and events.

Sara Damergi Parents and Lebanese Heritage

Sara’s father, Issam Damergi, had a strong influence on her interest in property. He worked in property and relocation and kept deep family links with Lebanon. Through him, Sara saw property as a practical business involving clients, land and long-term planning.

Issam died from cancer in May 2022 at the age of 67. He left behind an important development project in Lebanon, and Sara and her brothers chose to continue the work as part of his legacy. Her Lebanese roots remain central to her life. In 2026, she was again spending time in Beirut and Batroun after conflict had prevented some earlier family visits.

    Brothers and Family Roots

Sara has two brothers, Aboudi and Malek. The three siblings have worked together on the family development and remain close to their wider relatives in Lebanon. The project stands on ancestral land that had been in the Damergi family for generations. Issam reclaimed the land and began a major redevelopment before his death, making its completion both a business duty and an emotional commitment for his children.

    Sara Damergi Husband and Children

Sara Damergi is married and has two sons, Oliver and Elliott. Recent coverage describes her current husband as Swedish, but his full name has not been reliably confirmed in strong current sources. She keeps much of her marriage private while still sharing parts of family life, travel and motherhood.

Her family has clear links with Sweden, and she has shared trips there while praising its skiing, lakes and outdoor life. Sara became a mother for the first time in 2018 and later welcomed her second son. Family travel now forms an important part of her public work.

    Who Is Sara Damergi’s Husband?

The clearest modern description is that Sara’s husband is Swedish. His name, age and profession have not been confirmed through a dependable current source, so it is more accurate to leave those details private. Sara lives in the UK with her family and does not plan to move permanently to Lebanon, although the country remains important to her.

    Sara Damergi and Rick Politz

Older material confirms that Sara married television and media professional Rick Politz in August 2010. The pair travelled together and were connected with travel and media projects during that period. More recent coverage describes her present husband as Swedish, while Rick has been described as London-born. No dependable source clearly gives the date or circumstances in which the earlier marriage ended. Rick should therefore be treated as an earlier documented husband rather than her current spouse.

    Sara Damergi TV Career

Television brought Sara her widest recognition. She joined A Place in the Sun in 2012 and became one of the familiar presenters of the Channel 4 property format. Her work has included A Place in the Sun: Summer Sun, Winter Sun and Home or Away. Her experience in relocation, development and international travel gives her a natural fit for property television.

    A Place in the Sun

Sara began presenting the programme in June 2012. Her association with it has continued across many years, with breaks for family life and other work. She later returned and remains closely connected with the programme. She has spoken about the appeal of realistic budgets and the chance to help people make major changes in their lives.

Coast vs Country and BBC Work

Sara presented Coast vs Country from April 2016 until November 2021. The programme followed buyers choosing between coastal and countryside properties and gave her another major role in British property television. Her BBC work began by 2019 and has included Sunday Morning Live. More recently, she has been associated with BBC Morning Live, extending her work into lifestyle and consumer broadcasting.

Sara Damergi Property Career and Business

Property has been part of Sara’s life since long before television fame. She worked with her father and gained experience in relocation, buying, renovation, rentals and property management in Britain and Lebanon. SARA DAMERGI LTD remains active, with Sara serving as a director since 30 July 2013. Companies House records her nationality as British and her residence as the United Kingdom.

She was also a director of Casting Now Ltd from September 2015 before its dissolution. An earlier directorship linked her with Psychic TV Limited from March 2009.

    Sara Damergi Lebanon Development

One of the most personal projects in her life is a family development in Lebanon containing 55 flats and 14 shops. Her father started the scheme on ancestral family land and had completed roughly 80 per cent of the renovation before his death.

Sara and her brothers continued the work despite major challenges. Lebanon’s economic crisis created pressure, while the 2020 Beirut port explosion smashed windows and damaged shutters at the building. Later conflict brought further fear and made visits difficult. The family planned to rent out the flats after completion and were considering whether to keep 14 separate retail units or create one larger shop. A clean-water fountain at the front was named after Issam.

    Damergi Group and Family Legacy

Sara became a director of Damergi Group in May 2022, with her role focused on property development and rentals in Lebanon. The work closely follows the path created by her father. By August 2026, she was again spending time in Lebanon, showing that the country remains part of her present life.

    Technology and Entrepreneurial Work

Sara co-founded Nektta in November 2021. The company focuses on smart-city solutions, including charging and parking systems for e-bikes and e-scooters. This work connects her property experience with sustainability and modern urban transport.

She has also served as a board member of PropTech Sweden since August 2020. Her interests include smart homes, sustainability, electric mobility and future cities. Another part of her business background is Casting Now, an online talent directory founded to help new performers enter the entertainment industry.

    Sara Damergi Travel and Lifestyle

Travel has become a major part of Sara’s work and family life. In late 2025, she said she had travelled to 40 countries and shared her favourite family holiday destinations for 2026. Her choices included Denmark, Sweden, Costa del Sol, Greece, Turkey and Lebanon. She placed Lebanon first for family travel, praising its family-centred culture and activities for children while advising people to check conditions before travelling.

She has more than 18,000 followers on Instagram and more than 4,700 on X, sharing television work, travel, property, wellness, motherhood and life in Lebanon.

    Sara Damergi Net Worth

There is no dependable figure for Sara’s personal net worth. She has a long television career, an active company, property interests and business ventures, but those facts do not provide a reliable personal wealth total. Attaching an unsupported figure would give a false impression of precision.

    Sara Damergi Today

In 2026, Sara Damergi remains active as a television presenter, property professional, entrepreneur and travel personality. Her career connects Channel 4, the BBC, property development, smart-city technology and family travel.

Her story is also shaped by family. She is raising Oliver and Elliott with her Swedish husband, remains close to Aboudi and Malek, and continues the Lebanon property work begun by her father, Issam. Her career combines television, business and a lasting connection to both Britain and Lebanon. She continues to balance broadcasting with property, technology, travel and family responsibilities throughout 2026.
